After high school graduation and a four-year stint in the military as a military cop, he would start studying journalism at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo. He joined the student newspaper as the arts and entertainment editor and won several awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association including first place for commentary and honorable mention for a movie review. After receiving an associate's degree in journalism from LCCC, he continued studying journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Adam interned as a multimedia reporter at My Community NOW Newspapers covering community news in the Milwaukee metro area for about a year. Adam has been married for five years and has two children, four-years and six months old. Your Beliefs At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know. Politics If I had to choose I would say I lean to the left or more liberal in my beliefs. However, I agree with conservative thinking on many issues. So, I am very split on my political beliefs. Religion It is our right to practice any beliefs we feel are right. I wholly believe in this human right and personally chose to take advantage of it. Local Hot-Button Issues I have lived in Shorewood for a little over 2 years and know the biggest issue facing its residents is the sewer backups. After the significant flooding in July last year, so many residents faced substantial property damage that adversely affected their lives. In addition, I understand my job is to be a watchdog for government, and let the citizens and residents of Shorewood know what their tax dollars are being spent on. I know crime, sports, business and other topics are important to Shorewood too. However, I would like to hear from you. What is important to you? If you see me at Starbucks, Stone Creek Coffee or the City Market come over and say hi and let me know how I am doing on covering Shorewood.
