You've got to be kidding, right? I understand you, personally, might not be a meteorologist butRead More before you go out reprinting some idiotic trash spouted out by some ideological kook you might do your readers a great service by actually investigating thoroughly which would mean speaking with experts of the opposite opinion. As for 2100, you do realize first of all, that the globe has actually COOLED over the last 15 years and that trend will continue for another 15 before the cycle reverses and it begins to warm--unless the sun remains inactive like during the Dalton or Maunder minimums (it has been at it's quietest since the Dalton minimum ended 190 years ago). Assuming we are not entering another sun 'minimum' cycle, by 2100 we will have passed through the current cooling cycle, the next warm cycle and even be at the end of the following cool cycle! These cycles are brought about by combinations of solar activity and the AMO (Atlantic Mutidecadal Oscillation) and the PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation). These ocean oscillations are nothing new, nor are they made up by climate realists. They are changes in the 2 major oceans that have been known by scientists and anyone who actually knows anything about the weather & climate on this planet for 50-75 years or more. The warmists will have you believe that the temperatures are going straight up which flies in the face of fact. NASA itself has changed temperature records going back 75 years, claiming that before 1979 those temperatures were not accurate because we didn't have satellites to monitor them so they used models that they made up to extrapolate what they thought the temperatures should have been. Too bad these are the same models that forecasted the now infamous 'hockey stick' graph by Dr. Michael Mann which has been proven to be flat out wrong. What these models did was actually make it colder in some places in the 30's to the 60's which wiped out the end of the previous warm cycle through the beginning & middle of the cold cycle we were in which ended in the late 70's. Now, any sane person might be asking why would scientists do something such as fudge data or make claims that aren't true or forecasts 90 years into the future when they can't even forecast 90 minutes ahead of time. The answer is simple--power & money. I beg those of you who might still have a somewhat objective mind, FOLLOW THE MONEY and you'll see the power brokers behind the global warming sham. Most of the scientists claiming it's getting hotter are getting a lot of money from their respective governments in the form of research grants. If they stop saying it's warming, those governments will stop giving them money and they'll actually have to go out and EARN a living like you and I do as well as thousands of independent meteorologists do every day. This is getting long in the tooth but I'd be willing to continue this in a debate using real facts with anyone willing.

Holly crap there Tony, shorten it up... Heather (editor) has swallowed the climate drama BS hookRead More line and sinker. Any intelligence she does have is being suppressed by emotional activism. Her article here is a total waste of time and can clearly be nullified by realizing pointers are not head in her direction and weather can't even be predicted surely anything more than 10 days out. Where she lives used to be under hundreds of feet of ice (if not thousands). She should be thankful the planet heated up. From the looks of her photo there is a strong breeze coming out of her right ear, so cut the girl a break!

Organized Religion pimps a god and hustles sin for coin. It is Big Business. Eliminate all taxRead More breaks for these Crime Families, pulpit jockies, MegaChurchatoriums and crystal cathedrals. When the debris clears, what is left will be of genuine worth, and pleasing to The Cosmos.

When you download the app take a look at all the access to your device the app (7-11) will have. YouRead More may want to reconsider. The DD and 7-11 apps are two of most egregious privacy offenders I've seen yet. As the saying goes ... there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I still don't know why the good people on the east end are paying a MTA tax; there's no trainRead More service to speak of out here. Where do we even start to protest all the assaults of our government.

Now here was a guy that was finally doing the right thing for Suffolk County and they found a way toRead More force him out. He was taking care of the illegal immigrant problem, found ways to cut taxes, and bam he gets railroaded.

The Go 4th on the Bay Fireworks are rescheduled for July 5 as well. Many of the boats from CaptreeRead More State Park will be sailing. The Captain Gillen, Captree Star 2, and other boats still have tickets available due to the change in date.

Mary, I only know about seeing it from the boats. Try CaptreeFleet.com and see if they give aRead More better location. The Go 4th on the Bay Fireworks definitely did not go off last night, so maybe they're talking about other fireworks. The Gruccis do a lot of them.

Unfortunately, too many people are misguided and have no direction in their lives so they get intoRead More mischief or trouble and causing pain and suffering for those directed affected by their asinine and irresponsible behavior. Though the flag was returned, it should have never been taken or stolen in the first place. The thieves should not be commended for bringing the flag back but penalized for their thievery. I'm so disguised by this act. Parents, are you truly being parents? Pay more attention to your kids now or pay they bail later.

Let's put away the tar and feathers. It was clearly wrong to steal the flag, but it was probably aRead More kid on a scavenger hunt. The flag has been returned, and hopefully, a lesson learned.

I am glad the person who stole this flag had a conscience that just needed a nudge to work properly.Read More My deepest respects to the Ielpi-Brengel family. Yep, most of my points were made by other posters, 'cause my 'puter crashed. Oh well....But the dumbRead More parents who keep voting for higher school taxes, then complain that their kids can't return to Suffolk County are the worst! Said it before, will say it again: Child-free couples only pay 1/2 property taxes, seniors over 65 pay NO MORE SCHOOL TAXES to educate someone else's kids. School is only suspended for one month in the summer, as the kids lose much of the Spring semester info. over the summer, and they aren't helping bring in the crops these days. Oh yeah, and knock out all BS breaks, winter, spring, whatever. Why should teachers get paid for a full year when most of them only work about six months? THESE SUGGESTIONS MIGHT HELP...

I rarely see anyone speeding in school zones. This is another way to take citizens money. Too manyRead More politicians wasting our tax dollars. Leave the people alone.

Last I checked, cameras do not prevent accidents. Cameras just capture them on film. So how exactlyRead More are the cameras supposed to prevent an accident? (That was a rhetorical question) Maybe they should take the funding for the camera project and actually invest it in real life human being cops to patrol the school areas. I bet a lot more than traffic violations could be prevented then. I hear more stories about children trying to be lured into random vehicles than I do about speeding accidents by schools. Again, actual cops in the area will prevent a lot more than just auto accidents. Help create more jobs by hiring more cops. THAT equals safety IMO.
