Break out your school spirit and cheer on the home team. Bonfire for students on Fri. at 7 p.m. at the high school. Sat. is the homecoming parade at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. is the start time for the game against the Bayport-Bluepoint Phantoms.

Two days, four stages more than 35 bands and artists on multiple stages throughout the Village of Port Jefferson. Port Jeff brewing company will be on tap with a beer and wine garden. Sat. from 1-6 p.m
Catch the sounds of the Denice Given Band at 2 p.m. Sat. on the main stage at Memorial Park at the Port Jefferson American Music Festival.
Mystery & Murder in Port Jefferson
The Port Jefferson Free Library will be hosting a Mystery and Murder event on Sun. at 2 pm.
Come down and meet some fantastic local authors, have your books signed and questions answered.

Shop for local produce at the Port Jefferson Farmers Market Sunday morning from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Lanie’s Way parking lot.

Homecoming
Get your school spirit on for homecoming weekend at Rocky Point schools. The homecoming dance will take place Fri. evening. Saturday the football team takes on Amityville at 1:30 p.m. at the high school.

On Sunday, Oct. 13 the Bayport-Blue Point Library is hosting a musical event. Homegrown Two is an acoustic Americana duo whose music celebrates the spirit of songcatchers and composers from Frances Child and Stephan Foster to Harry Smith and Bob Dylan. Their repertoire of traditional and original material is performed using a variety of acoustic instruments including guitar, banjo, mountain dulcimer, doumbek, banjo ukulele, jaw harp, and harmonica. A Psychic Night, featuring Jeffrey Wands, will be held at the Sayville VFW Post, at 400 Lakeland Avenue in Sayville on Sat. Oct. 12 starting at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Tickets are $35.00 per person and available by emailing secretary@communityamb.org or calling (631) 567-2586.

On Sunday Oct. 13 join Join Naomi Zeitlin at the Sayville Library at 2 p.m. for a performance of the songs that Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand have either popularized or loved to sing. She’ll also be sharing information about the songs and about these two iconic talents and, as with so many of her programs, the audience should also be prepared to be quizzed!

Sachem North will host Commack on Friday night at 7 p.m at Fred Fusaro Stadium. Sachem East will host Lindenhurst on Saturday night at 6 p.m. on the turf in Farmingville.
Pink pumpkins and baked goods will be sold at this breast cancer fundraiser at 989 Old Medford Ave in Farmingville Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

Oh What A Night! Tribute to the Legends Series Event - The Four Seasons
This musical tribute to the music of the Four Seasons and the legends of the early 1960s will feature performances by Playground, The Acchords, The Fellas, and Michael D'Amore & Angel Rissoff. Show taking place at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, 71 E. Main St. in Patchogue, Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $42-$75.
Southern-based blues-rock group playing the 70 W. Main St. Patchogue restaurant Saturday from 8 p.m.-midnight. No cover
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 31 Rider Ave. in Patchogue, will be celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with the Blessing of the Animals at the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services.
