Author Rose Marie Dunphy will be at the Sachem Public Library on Sunday at 1 p.m to discuss her novel “Orange Peels and Cobblestones.”

Patchogue

Live Music: Jelly Band

Head to the Brickhouse Brewery for Jelly Band on Friday at 11 p.m.

Thrift Shopping

Head over to St. Paul’s Episcopal thrift shop on Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. for cheap deals just in time for back-to-school shopping. Located at 31 Rider Avenue.

Port Jefferson

Don’t miss the parade of boats at the Village Cup Regatta this Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at Harborfront Park.

Shop for local produce at the Port Jefferson Farmers Market Sunday morning from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Lanie’s Way parking lot.

Bike Ride Benefit

A fun, beautiful day of bike riding along Eastern Long Island and into Montauk, followed by a cookout at the conclusion of the ride. Proceeds support Hope House Ministries.

Three Village

The Certain Moves Band (rock, pop, dance, funk) will return to Frank Melville Memorial Park for the final installment in its “Wind Down Sundays” music series at 5:30 p.m.

The Three Village Historical Society will host a walking history tour  “A Walk Through History with Farmer and Spy Abraham Woodhull”  beginning at 2 p.m. at the Caroline Church in Setauket.

The Three Village Historical Society will also present “Selections from our Collections,” based on the history of Setauket, featuring wine and hors d’oeurves. The event will take place Saturday at 5 p.m. (tickets $35-$55).

Enjoy a birding walk and a nature walk at West Meadow Beach on Saturday, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. Binoculars, comfortable shoes and hats are strongly recommended. RSVP to egerle@brookhaven.org.

Three continents, four countries, six wines. That’s what you’ll experience at a free tasting event on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mora’s Fine Wine & Spirits in Setauket.

Beyond the Thimble in Setauket will host a sewing session to benefit the organization ConKerr Cancer. At this event, which is set for 10:30 a.m. at the sewing center, participants will make pillowcases for children who are ill.

Emma S. Clark Memorial Library will screen “The Impossible,”starring Naomi Watts and Ewan MacGregor, at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Friday morning Bridge Club is back at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library, set for 10 a.m. The event is free; just bring a deck of cards.
