Roller Derby

The Strong Island Derby Revolution is back in action at World Gym Setauket. Join them for their bout against the Jerzey Derby Brigade on Saturday at 8 p.m. ($10-$15; kids under 8 free). Port Jeff Brewing Co. will be serving cold beer and there will be halftime entertainment.

Comedy Shows

The Ward Melville Players will present their annual improv comedy show at the high school on Thursday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. (tickets $10 at the door).

The Velvet Lounge has launched a new comedy series on alternating Thursday nights at 8:30 p.m. Most shows are free and there’s no drink minimum.

Long Island Apple Festival

Head down to Sherwood-Jayne Farm in East Setauket for the annual Long Island Apple Festival on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring a pie contest, games, fresh apple cider and more. Admission $5-$7.

Community Yard Sale

More than 12 families in Strong’s Neck will hold a community yard sale between Dyke Road and Maple Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Watercolor Workshop

Join Gallery North on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. for a two-part watercolor painting workshop ($140). Students must bring their own materials.

Country Fair

The 33rd Annual Country Fair will be held this weekend by the Miller Place- Mt. Sinai Historical Society. The day will be filled with historical events including civil war encampment, blacksmithing, pottery making and open hearth cooking.  Fun starts at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Fundraiser for Local Seamstress Liane D’Ambrosio

The family of Liane D’Ambrosio is hosting a fundraiser at Carmody’s in Rocky Point at 8 p.m. on Friday to help defray medical costs for their mom who is battling cancer for the second time. Performance by 2 Man Acoustical Jam, 50/50 raffles and more.

3rd annual Ride4Love to support Love 146

Bicycle event Saturday at Holtsville Ecology Site, 249 Buckley Rd. in Holtsville, guided by members of the Suffolk County Bike Riders Association. Bands will perform, and breakfast and lunch included for participants. Day of event tickets are $45, and $10 for each additional person.

Breakfast fundraiser supporting the Sachem East Cheerleaders at Applebee’s, 1935 N. Ocean Ave. in Farmingville on Sunday at 8 a.m.

Patchogue

St. Liberata Italian Festival

The annual italian festival returns to Main Street in Patchogue near the North Ocean Avenue intersection Saturday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Event will include music, vendors, bocce tournament and plenty of food.

Life after Life: A Heavenly New Musical

A musical produced by Patchogue resident Howard Beckerman about the musical journey of two souls who get to become the guardian angels for the loved ones they left behind. Show is playing Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the lobby of Patchogue Theatre For the Performing Arts, 71 E. Main St. in Patchogue. Tickets are $10.
