Sachem North Senior Night, Shaggy Concert At Sequoya Among This Week's Best

Several charity benefits, an employment open house, nutrition lecture and Halloween festivities in the Sachem area this week.

A Shaggy concert to benefit the Sachem Marching Band, and Sachem North varsity football's senior night against Patchogue-Medford are among this week's events during the one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy and Halloween.

The Shaggy concert is being sponsored by JVC Broadcasting and Party 105.3 FM, and is taking place at Sequoya Middle School on Friday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The show's opening act is Zhavea ft. E Dee. Tickets for the show are $40 each. Click here for more information and the flyer.

At about the same time as the concert will be the Senior Night game at Sachem High School North, 212 Smith Rd. in Lake Ronkonkoma, for the varsity football team. The Flaming Arrows will be playing Patchogue-Medford.

Free Nutrition Lecture- When Sugar Attacks!: Lecture taking place at 4250 Veterans Highway Suite 104E in Holbrook at 7 p.m.

Tuesday

DDI's Employment Open House: The organization's open house will be at 90 Airpark Drive in Ronkonkoma at 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Safe Halloween Bash at St. Joseph's College!: Safe party for elementary school students taking place at the college's quad with a spooky trail on the baseball field. Admission is $5 per child.

Thursday

Children's Halloween party: Krazy Kids of Medford at 3235 Horseblock Rd. in Medford is holding a party from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Friday

Chinese Auction & Zumbathon® to Benefit Chris’s Crusaders for ALS: The benefit is taking place at Samoset Middle School, 51 School St. in Ronkonkoma at 6:30 p.m. $10 donation requested.

Farrell's Tavern Halloween Party: Party taking place at the 284 Ronkonkoma Ave. location in Ronkonkoma starting at 9:30 p.m. $5 cover.
