Here are some of the events and coverage highlights coming up this week for the Sachem area.
Holbrook Carnival & Craft Fair. Yesterday wrapped up another annual Holbrook Carnival & Craft Fair held on the grounds of the Seneca Middle School. Patch will have some photos and Patch Clips of Sunday's finale.
Football Training Camp Begins. Starting today Sachem North and Sachem East's football programs will start training camp for the 2013 campaign set to open on September 11 with Sachem's Nor'Easter game. Patch will continue to cover both varsity teams, with interviews from coaches and updates on games.
No BOE Meeting. The Sachem School District Board of Education has postponed its tentative meeting this week for next Wednesday, August 28. Make sure to note this on your calendars this week.
Creative House Grand Opening. The Creative House, a new home for the arts in Sachem will have its grand opening on Wednesday, August 21 from 12-7 p.m. The Creative House is located on Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma.
Farmingville Street Fair. Not scheduled until the last day of the week this week, but you'll want to mark your calendars for this well-attended, burgeoning tradition in Farmingville. The Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce will host its 2nd Annual Street Fair on Sunday, August 25.
