Villa Hosting Benefit for Awareness of Foster Children

Event will take place Saturday from 2-5 p.m.

Koalaty Development Corp., a non-profit organization championing the cause of Foster Children in Suffolk County, will host a Winter Wonderland Gala to benefit the awareness of issues concerning foster children at Villa Lombardi’s, located at 877 Main Street in Holbrook, on Saturday, January 28 from 2-5 p.m.

Founded in 2011 by Catherine Rausch, recipient of the Foster Mother of the Year award in 2010, Koalaty Development Corp’s mission is to provide a 24-hour resource center offering emergency services to children who come into foster care in the middle of the night. Proceeds from this event will help Koalaty Development Corp. to obtain property and funding for the planned facility.

The Gala includes dinner, dancing, a cash bar, raffles and a Chinese auction. Semi-formal attire is required. Tickets are $100 in advance and $125 at the door. Checks should be made payable to Koalaty Development Corp.
