Troop Takes Part In Brookhaven 'Plant-In'
Lynwood Avenue Elementary School receives a spring planting.
Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Connie Kepert met up with some civic
minded youth last Saturday for the yearly Brookhaven Plant-In.
Members of the Girl Scout Troop 887 stopped at Lynwood Avenue Elementary School to plant some colorful annuals along the edge of the Farmingville building.
“This is a great day to see our young people participating in beautifying the community. I’m a strong believer in providing fun, productive opportunities for youth to get involved in community work. If they start young it will last a lifetime,” Councilwoman Kepert said.
