The Lombardi Family and the Cure MS Foundation of New York proudly announce the Second Annual Multiple Sclerosis Charity Gala and Auction: An Evening on the Mediterranean, which will take place March 7, 2012 at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook. The event’s proceeds will directly benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

The Lombardi Family in conjunction with the newly launched Cure MS Foundation of New York will be recognizing Dr. Patricia Coyle, Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center at Stony Brook University Medical center; Janet Simpson, local artist; and the Hyperbaric Medical Solutions Center of Medford, N.Y.

Last year’s event raised over $50,000 for the Comprehensive Care Center’s research funds.  The money raised at this year’s event will continue to support of clinical studies and research that will provide people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a hope for a cure. “The Lombardi family is committed to giving back in the communities in which we do business,” event organizer Filomena Lombardi said in a statement. “We are proud to do our part to raise funds in the hope of finding better treatment options and ultimately a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that affects so many of us here on Long Island.”  Lombardi, who has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for 15 years, just launched the Cure MS Foundation of New York.
