The family of Taleik Bristel, the 19-year-old from Patchogue fatally shot on Christmas Day in Medford, is taking to GoFundMe to fundraise funeral expenses.
"My son was shot and killed on Christmas Day 2013, and the family is totally unprepared and devastated," the campaign writes. "We need financial assistance to lay my son to rest."
The campaign has raised $652 by 23 people in three days, as of this writing. It has a goal of $9,825.
