Week 2 Preview: Sachem North vs. Northport

Flaming Arrows host home opener against Tigers.

Sachem North enters Week 2 with one win under its belt, having knocked off Bay Shore last week. Northport, however, is coming off a difficult loss to Brentwood.

Dalton Crossan began the year strong with four touchdowns in the win.

Northport showed sparks of strength in the second half against Brentwood, but it's early to gage how good they'll be this season.

In game battles: (0-1) found success in the second half of its as fullback Ryan Kokell ran hard between the tackles and quarterback Sean Gilroy got in a rhythm. Northport did play Sachem tough in two games last season, including a playoff contest in which Crossan ran wild for 170 yards and four touchdowns. Northport back Jon Benitez injured himself last week against Brentwood, but there has been no information released about him this week.
