Sachem East sophomore Katie Trombetta was selected as a National Field Hockey Coaches Association Third Team All-American Monday.
Trombetta is one of three New York players selected to the All-American list and the only from Long Island.
This season she scored 15 goals and added 14 assists en route to the school's first New York State title. She has been a three-year starter, a two-time All-County and All-Sachem Patch selection and was also selected All-State and All-Long Island this year.
