Sachem's Tina Moon Named NFHCA Coach of the Year for North Region
Earns regional honor with a shot to win major honor on Friday.
It might be a new year, but the awards from Tina Moon's 2011 season keep piling up.
At a luncheon on Friday, January 13 in Philadelphia, Moon was honored as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFCHA) Coach of the Year for the North Region.
Moon led Sachem East to its first New York State field hockey title this year, was honored as the Suffolk County and Long Island Coach of the Year and was named a Person of the Year for 2011 by Sachem Patch. The 2011 title was also Sachem East's first Suffolk County and Long Island title for field hockey.

The NFHCA will announce the National High School Coach of the Year this Friday.
