Three Sachem East Alums Lead Suffolk Lax

Longhorns selected as No. 4 pre-season team in nation.

The Suffolk County Community College lacrosse team, ranked fourth by Inside Lacrosse in pre-season polls, will have three starters from Sachem High School East on the field this season.

Through email, head coach Brendan Chamberlain expressed high expectations due in part to the Sachem trio, which includes Nico Governoa, DJ Morahan and Mike Sievers.

Last season’s 11-4 mark and loss in the NJCAA Final Four was a precursor of what’s to come in 2011 for the Longhorns.
