This Week in Sachem Football: Week 7, 2011

A historical look at the Flaming Arrows on the gridiron.

Every week I'll breakdown each game and what it means from a historical perspective in the football programs at Sachem North and East. As the season progresses, the numbers and statistics become more and more interesting, but here's the information from this week:

  • This is the most lopsided loss Sachem East has ever had against the Bull Dogs, but not the worst in school history. William Floyd beat East, 57-0, in 2007.
  • The 42 points are the most allowed by Sachem East this season. It's the first shutout against Sachem this season.
  • Sachem East has lost three straight games in parts of its regular season five out of its seven total seasons of existence.
  • Junior Steven Casali has been held scoreless in two straight games.
  • The Casali File: This season, Steven Casali has compiled 932 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this year.
