Sole, Garry Selected for Grand Slam Challenge
Represent Sachem in annual high school baseball all-star game.
Sachem North seniors Brendan Garry and Alec Sole have been selected to play in this year's RTC Rawlings Grand Slam Challenge.
The game, which pins the best in Suffolk against the top players in Nassau, will take place at Farmingdale State College Friday, June 10 at 7 p.m.
Garry and Sole may be preparing for a state title run and on their way to Binghamton, N.Y. that day if Sachem wins Sunday evening against Carey in the Class AA New York State Regionals.

Suffolk County, which will be coached by Patchogue-Medford's Anthony Frascogna, leads the all-time series, 5-1.
This year some of Suffolk's top players will be Duke-bound Remy Janco from Hills West, Cameron Sorgie from Floyd, and Lindenhurst's Stephen Skon.
