Sachem To Play Commack in Class AA Final

Flaming Arrows set for county championship Wednesday at home.

Sachem North will play Commack Wednesday in the Suffolk County Class AA baseball championship. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

No.7  in the winner's bracket final Monday morning and the Sharks lost to No. 8 Commack (21-6) Tuesday afternoon in the loser's bracket final, 6-3.

The Flaming Arrows will have senior pitcher Alec Sole on the mound.

Sachem is playing in the county baseball final for the first time since 1987, when it beat East Islip to win the title.

Sachem has a game in-hand over Commack, who has already lost one contest in the double-elimination tournament. If Sachem loses Wednesday, the two teams play again Thursday. If Sachem wins Wednesday it plays in the Class AA New York State Regionals (Long Island Championship) against Carey (19-6), Nassau's Class AA champion.
