Sachem Sports Club Raises Thousands Through Girls Lacrosse Tournament for Wounded Warriors Project

Youth league holds fundraiser, raises $17,300 for American war veterans.

Sachem Sports Club, in conjunction with Suffolk County Girls Lacrosse, Suffolk County P.A.L. and Suffolk County Women's Lacrosse Officials Association, helped raise $17,300 at the 3rd annual girls youth lacrosse charity tournament to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The two day tournament was held at the Suffolk County P.A.L. sports complex in Holtsville. Girls lacrosse teams from Suffolk, Nassau, and Rockland counties participated in the event.

"All the youth coaches and I felt it was time for a tournament that benefited the greater good," said Chris Trombetta, Director of Sachem Sports Club Girls Lacrosse. "We couldn't think of a better way to say thank you and to support our troops."
