Sachem's Dalton Crossan Selected All-Metro

Adds to post-season honor list with recent selection.

Keep the post-season honors rolling for Sachem’s Dalton Crossan. He was selected to the MSG Varsity and National Football Foundation First Team All-Metro Tuesday evening.

The honor, given to 25 standout tri-state area high school football players, was revealed live on MSG Varsity’s “A Quick :60” on television.

Crossan is one of seven players from Long Island – all from Suffolk – selected All-Metro, including Stacey Bedell (Floyd), Sean Karl (Eastport-South Manor), Omari Palmer (Longwood), Darius Greene (Longwood), Pat McHugh (St. Anthony’s) and Ron Denig (Newfield).

“I don’t think there is any decision, when you’re dealing with all the football players in the tri-state area, that is a no brainer, but his talents made the decision pretty easy,” said Mike Quick, the host of “A Quick :60.” He made the game look so easy at times. He’s playing against great kids, but he’s just that much better.”

Crossan put together a memorable season in Sachem and Long Island football history, winning the Hansen Award as the top player in Suffolk County and setting career and single-season touchdown records and the single-season rushing record for Sachem.
