Sachem Patch Youth Sports Notebook

A weekly look at how some of the area's youth teams are doing.

The Sachem Surge, a girls U-9 soccer team from the community, went to Wildwood, N.J. and took first place in the annual Beach Blast Soccer Tournament last weekend.

The girls, who went 4-0, battled teams from New Jersey and Pennsylvania and won the championship game, 5-1.

They celebrated by eating ice cream and enjoying the rides and water parks on Moreys pier on the boardwalk.
