Sachem Patch Athletes of the Week

The following athletes had exceptional weeks on the field at Sachem High Schools East and North:

Sachem East

Lindsey Treanor: She pitched a no-hitter in a 1-0 playoff win over Centereach. Though East lost to Bay Shore and was eliminated from the playoffs, Treanor's performance was one of the best in the history of the program.

Lisa Luchsinger: Luchsinger won the 100-meter dash, took second in the 200, and anchored the 4x100 team that took third at last week's Division Championships. All this came after Luchsinger took second in the long jump (17-1.25). In total, she was responsible for 26 points individually and six more as part of the 4x100 squad, and helped East take fourth place in Division I with 82 points.

Sachem North

The 4x800 relay team: At the Suffolk County Division Championships last week held at Connetquot High School, Sachem North won the 4x800 relay with a time of 8:13. Joe Johnson, Dave Martins, Conor Dolan and Brian Wersan pulled out the biggest win for Sachem on the second day of the event.
