Sachem North Lacrosse Goalie Commits To West Point

John Quinn will play for the US Service Academy in fall of 2013.

Incoming senior and starting goaltender for Sachem North Boys Lacrosse John Quinn has commited to play at West Point when he graduates from Sachem North next summer, according to his coach, Jason Mauro.

Quinn will enter the US Service Academy at West Point as a direct admissions student. At Sachem North he has a 65% save percentage heading into his final year.

"We are very happy for John and his family," said Mauro. "He had an excellent junior year and has been a tremendous worker on the field and in the classroom. His hard work has paid off and we expect him to continue his diligence both on and off the field in his senior year and beyond."

Quinn's last win between the pipes came in the playoffs last May when he recorded 12 saves en route to an .
