Sachem East's Billy Merone Records 100th Career Victory
Is second Arrows grappler to achieve milestone this season.
Sachem East senior captain Billy Merone has been a leader for the Arrows from the first day of this season. As the team focuses on the post-season, Merone added his name to the list of Sachem East wrestlers who have reached the 100 win mark.
Merone earned win No. 100 win with his semi final victory over Eric Binder of Smithtown East, at last weekends Sachem East Tournament. He is now No. 6 on the all time win list at Sachem East.
“Billy is a fierce competitor, whose combination of work ethic, talent, and toughness have made him one of the best wrestlers around," said Sachem coach Sean O'Hara.

Merone and the rest of the Sachem East squad will be in action on Saturday at the League II tournament at Central Islip.
Merone's teammate Conor O'Hara earned his 100th win two weeks ago.
