Sachem East Girls Track Ranked No. 5 in NYS
Finish indoor season as top ranked Suffolk County school.
The Sachem East girl's varsity track and field team finished this season ranked No. 5 in New York State’s Class A, according to final rankings posted Friday on NY.MileSplit.com.
Sachem finished the year as the highest ranked Suffolk County school and the second highest on Long Island behind Garden City (No. 1).
Sachem’s points, according to the site, were compiled via multiple performances from its top athletes: Brittany Sepe (shot put, 1), Holly Lindoe (1,500 RW, 1), Kelly Maranchuck (1,500 RW, 8), Rachel Paul (1,000m, 3,000m, 600m, 19) and relay team (4). The total points accumulated to 33. In comparison, Garden City had 56.
