Sachem East Cheer Wins UCA Jersey Challenge

Sachem East's varsity and JV cheer groups won their divisions at the UCA Jersey Challenge last week.

Fifteen teams from the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania areas competed in the Large Varsity division and seven teams competed in JV.

"We lost a lot of seniors last year and have a really new team," said Sachem East head coach Cherisse Savery. "We knew the first two competitions of the season would be learning experiences for them to get used to such a competitve level of cheerleading. We expected to see their true colors by the third competition and we did, the performed the way we trained them to and we couldn't be more proud."
