Sachem East Alum Greg Tinari Named All-America East for Stony Brook Soccer

Earns personal honor, now hoping for second conference title.

Sachem East alum Greg Tinari was named First Team All-America East as a defender at Stony Brook University.

The news comes during Stony Brook's run to another America East Championship. It'll take on UMBC for the second time in the last two weeks Wednesday in Baltimore for the conference title. Last year, Stony Brook won 2-0 at home.

This is Tinari's third year on the roster for the Seawolves. The last two years he played in all 19 games as a defender.

He spent the 2007 season at St. John's University and saw time in four games as a freshman.

At Sachem, he was a three-year letter winner and earned All-State honors in 2006, as well as All-League, All-Conference and All-County honors in 2005 and 2006.
