The Sachem Central School District has cancelled after school activities Wednesday thanks to another snow storm in the area.
The activities include all home and road athletic events scheduled.
Weather.com is reporting scattered snow showers in the early part of the day that will give way to a mixture of rain and snow for the afternoon. Overnight, however, they are saying an accumulation of 6 to 10 inches is possible.

Games rescheduled: North basketball vs. WI (Boys away/girls home) is on for Thursday. East Basketball vs. Patchogue ... girls home tomorrow and boys play Monday at Pat-Med.

Please be advised that all Town of Brookhaven evening Recreation Department programs and activities are canceled for Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the following locations:

- St. Michael's Recreation Center
- Robert E. Reid, Sr. Recreation Center
- New Village Recreation Center
- Mastic Recreation Center
- Brookhaven Aquatic Center
