Sachem alum David Kramer has been promoted to interim men's lacrosse coach for 2010-2011 at Herkimer County Community College.

"David has a wealth of lacrosse experience, and I am confident he will provide excellent leadership for the program and our student-athletes," said HCCC athletic director Donald Dutcher.

Kramer, who was a four-year letter winner at the University of Massachusetts, was a member of the Sachem's 1993 New York State championship team and 1995 New York State finalist team.

In 1995 Kramer was elected to the All-Division and All-County as a midfielder and was selected to play in the exceptional senior game.

"Dave always played hard and dedicated himself to doing anything needed to ensure the success of the team," said former Sachem lacrosse coach Rick Mercurio. "He is, in large part, one of the players responsible for our achievements during those years."
