Sachem Alum Cimini Joins ESPN NY

Former NY Daily News writer jumps ship to new media outlet.

Sachem High School alum Rich Cimini has jumped from the New York Daily News to the recently created ESPNNewYork.com, where he remains a beat writer for the New York Jets.

Cimini, who was at the Daily News for 14 years, got his start in journalism at the Sachem Harbinger, where he was sports editor and editor-in-chief during his high school days.

"He was the original muckraker," former Sachem football coach Fred Fusaro is fond of saying.
