North boys win Upper Atlantic Lacrosse Tourney

Beat Philly travel club, 6-5, and go 5-0 in Pennsylvania outing.

Sachem North's varsity lacrosse team won the Senior A Division championship of the 2010 Boys Upper Atlantic Lacrosse Tournament in Downington, P.A. this past weekend

North's U-11, U-13, two JV teams and the varsity squad participated in the event. The varsity team went 5-0, scored 53 goals and allowed 17. The Arrows won the title game, 6-5, beating the Duke's Elite Lacrosse Club out of Philadelphia.

"It was a great way to start the summer season off," North head coach Jay Mauro said. "All the teams did great and worked real hard and improved tremendously. They all battled and played real well. It was a great weekend for the whole program."
