Sachem East Girls Soccer: Whitman 1, Sachem 0 ... The Wildcats pulled off the upset of the 2010 playoff season, ousting No. 1 Sachem in the first round. The Arrows finished the year 14-3 overall. Whitman is a 16 seed.

Sachem North Girls Soccer: West Islip 2, Sachem 0 ... The Lions ended North's season in the first round as well.

Sachem North Football: Sachem 34, Bay Shore 7 ... Sachem is 8-0 and the top seed in the Suffolk County Division I playoffs. They host Brentwood, Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. ... Read up on Saturday's win right here on Sachem Patch.

Sachem North Sophomore X-Country: The Suffolk County sophomore championship cross country race was held Saturday atSunken Meadow State Park.  The North boys team placed second overall, 15 points behind Happauge.  The team was led by sophomore Chris Penteck who placed second overall in the race with a time of 16:51 for 3-miles. The top seven runners for the sophomore team were Greg Coleman, James Trofa, Mike Mirrione, James Piccirillo, James Rath and Dylan Passarella.  Greg, James, Mike and James Piccirillo all finished in the top 50 of the race, earning them medals.  In the freshmen championship race, John Conner ran a great race and also received a medal.
