A daily look at the sports action around Sachem.

Sachem East Girls Track & Field: Sachem East 100.6, Ward Melville 49.3 ... Alyssa Genduso took first place in four different events. She won the Pole Vault with a height of 8'00.00, the 200m Dash in a time of 26.9, the Long Jump with a jump of 16'09.50'', and she was a member of the winning 4x100m relay team that also included Ebonie Lewis, Ashley Mercado, and Essence Sterling. The relay ran a time of 50.7 seconds.

Rachel Paul took first place in three events. She won the 400m in 61.5, the 800m in 2:29.0, and she was a member of the winning 4x400m relay team that also included Allison Figalora, Laurie Semetsis, and Amanda DiSalvo. The relay ran a time of 4:25.2.

Brittany Sepe took first place in both of the throwing events. She won the Shot Put with a throw of 36'08.00'' and the Discus with a throw of 90'03.50''.

Kelly Maranchuck, Essence Sterling and Meghan Walsh were also first place finishers. Maranchuck won the 1500m Racewalk in a time of 7:29.9, Sterling won the 100m Dash in a time of 12.6, and Walsh won the 400m Intermediate Hurdles in a time of 72.6.

Sachem North Boys Track & Field: Connetquot 86, Sachem 55: Davon Christopher won the 100, 200 and Triple Jump,  Chris Weilbacher won the 400 meter run, Roger Lozach won the Discus and the 4 x 800 relay team of Colin Eberhardt, Ryan Beierle, Chris Pentack and Brandon Hayes won their event with the 4 X 400 Relay team of Chris Weilbacher, James Trofa, Michael McCarthy and Alex Lazarich winning that race as well.  Many personal bests (PB's) were run and some younger athletes picked up valuable competition experience, according to Sachem coach John Horst.
