Sachem North Girls Lacrosse: Sachem 14, Commack 13 (4OT) ... The Arrows were triumphant in a four-overtime thriller at home Friday. Erin McNulty had 26 saves, the biggest with just over one minute remaining in the fourth overtime, which allowed Sachem to gain posession and get down field to set up the game winning goal. Kelly Kuerner scored four goals and added three assists, including two goals and the game-winning assist in overtime.
Jenna Pierro had four goals and one assist, and she scored the game winner with 38 seconds remaining. Nicole Dale scored three goals and added an assist. Allison Riss scored once, as did Jenn McDonough and Kate Kuerner. "This was a hard faught win that took a great effort from everyone on the field," said Sachem coach Kevin Krause. "We played man down for almost two-thirds of the game. Erin McNulty played the game of her career and I can truly say that our girls left everything they had out on that field today."
Sachem North Boys Track & Field ... Westhampton Invitational: The Sachem North Boys track team traveled out to the Westhampton Invitational Track Meet Saturday. It was a good day for the Arrows as many of the athletes came home with medals and a lot of personal bests were achieved on this blustery day. Davon Christopher was a double medal winner in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100 Relay. Joining Christopher on that relay were Alex Katos, Ryan Calabrese and Eric D’Alessandro. Dave Sanitzaire and John Fitzpatrick brought home medals in the High Jump. The younger athletes had an outstanding day as Greg Coleman, Michael Neftleberg and Mike Kearns were all Gold Medal winners in their events. Joining them as medal winners were: James Trofa, Ryan Lupo, Jordan Weiss, Dylan Passaerlla, Lorezo Pabon and Chris Isolano.

The Arrows host Lindenhurst on Monday. This will be the last home meet for seniors Bonifacio Aguila, Davon Christopher, Matt Cosgrove, Bryan Fallier, Brian Ford, Alex Katos, George Lambadis, Roger Lozach, Michael McCarthy, John McNeece, Jordan Pittman, Amir Rashed, James Sailor, Mike Scanlon, Chris Schulz, Alan Thorp and Chris Weilbacher. On Friday and Saturday the team will be competing in the St. Anthony’s Invitational.
