Sachem East Baseball: Pat-Med 2, Sachem 1 ... Sachem East tied the ball game in the top of the sixth off an RBI-single by senior , who is on a three-game hit streak. Pat-Med, however, went on to win the game in the bottom of the seventh on a walk-off walk with the bases loaded. Mike Amato pitched a complete game for Sachem (1-6), as did Matt Vogel for the Raiders. Here's an interesting note ... Vogel's uncle is Jerry Figgiani, a Sachem alum from the Class of 1978, who is most notable for becoming Sachem's first 1,000-yard running back and helping the Arrows to their first county title in football in 1977. Both baseball teams will be in action again Wednesday afternoon at Sachem.
