Sachem East baseball: William Floyd 4, Sachem 2 ... Mike Amato received the loss in Monday's game. Two players had two hits each in the opening day game for Floyd. It was East's first league contest.
Sachem North softball: Sachem 3, Connetquot 0 ... Jen Daniello allowed six hits and two walks and struck out three in a complete game victory for North, who also put the Flaming Arrows (2-0) ahead with an RBI single in the top of the seventh.

Sachem East softball: Sachem 7, Brentwood 0 ... Sachem Patch blogger Lindsey Treanor records her second win of the season with a nine strikeout, one walk performance against the Indians. Sam Smith and Deanna Wolf both went 4-for-4. Ashley Goldstein was 3-for-4.
