Sachem North softball: The Flaming Arrows beat Central Islip, 23-0. Mackenzie Margolis struck out six hitters and recorded a perfect game. The win was Ken Sasso's first as a varsity head coach.

Sachem East softball: East won, 14-1, over Longwood. Jess Caturano (three RBI), Deanna Wolf (one RBI) and Samantha Laird (one RBI) all recorded three hits in the win. Pitcher Lindsey Trainor recorded the victory.

Sachem East boys tennis: The boys won 4-3 over Mount Sinai to improve to 2-0. All four singles players won, including Additya Ramesh, whose fourth singles win clinched the victory. He was down 5-0 in the third and final set and won it 7-5.

Sachem East baseball: East (0-1) lost 5-3 to Riverhead in its season opener. Pitcher Vin Bona received the lost for Sachem in the non-league contest.

Sachem North boys golf: North opened its season with an 8-1 win over William Floyd. Travis Nardello, who is most notable for kicking the game-winning field goal for North football in a 17-14 Week 1 victory over Floyd, shot a 7-over-par-43 at Middle Island Country Club.

Sachem East girls lacrosse: The girls lost 16-3 to Bay Shore. Amanda Fodera made 12 saves in the loss. Sachem goals were scored by Guialano (1), McKeveny (1) and Donodeo (1).

Sachem North girls track: North beat Central Islip, 110-35. Kayla Cataldo won the 400-hurdles and pole vault.
