Sachem North Battles For LI Championship Saturday

On Saturday at 4:30 p.m., Farmingdale High School (11-0) takes on Sachem North High School (9-2) in the Long Island Championship game at Stony Brook University.

Last weekend, it all came down to the foot of Zach Kolodny for Farmingdale, and the junior kicker calmly nailed a 32-yard field goal to give the Dalers a 29-26 victory for their second straight Nassau County Championship.

Curtis Jenkins ran for 232 yards and three touchdowns to lead the charge.

A day later, the Sachem North Flaming Arrows won the Suffolk County Championship with a 28-7 victory over William Floyd.

Not only did Malik Pierre have two interceptions on defense, but he rushed, threw and caught a touchdown in the win.
