O'Hara Earns Career Victory No. 100

Is Sachem East's fifth all-time winningest grappler as a junior.

What was otherwise an uneventful dual meet victory for Sachem East on Friday at Bay Shore, turned out to be a special night for junior grappler Conor O'Hara.

His pin at 126 pounds, amidst a myriad of strong wrestling in a 76-3 win, was the 100th victory of his career. It was his 17th win this season.

O'Hara became the fifth wrestler in Sachem East history to reach the 100-win plateau and sits 40 wins shy of tying Sean O'Malley, Class of 2011, with the school record of 140.

"Conor is a talented wrestler with an outstanding work ethic, and is a team leader on and off the mat," said Sachem coach Sean O'Hara. "He continues to improve and is in pursuit of higher goals."

O'Hara and the Arrows will next be in action on Thursday, January 26 when they travel to Connetquot for a battle of unbeaten teams with the winner taking home the League II dual meet title.
