North to Host Charles Johnson Track Meet

The Charles R. Johnson Memorial Track Meet and Scholarship is now in its fifth year. Do to the generosity of the Sachem community and your continued cooperation they were able to award four scholarships last year and they'd like to continue that tradition this year.

Location: Sachem North Track & Field Complex

When: Friday May 27

Participants: Elementary and Middle School Students Grades 4 – 8 will participate in the meet; Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will participate in the Fastest Kid in Sachem Races

Times

• Elementary Registration: 4:15 – 5:00
• Elementary Meet: 5:00 – 7:00
• 6th Grade Registration: 6:30- 7:00
• Elementary (K-3) Fastest Kid Races: 6:50 – 7:00
• Middle School Four Way Meet: 7:00 – 9:00 

Cost:  $2 per event or $5 for three events

Events

• 6th Grade and Elementary School Participants: 55m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x100, Long Jump, Softball Throw, High Jump
• 7th and 8th Grade Middle School Meet – line up to be determined  

Awards: Ribbons to all finishers, certificates to all participants, revolving trophies to the elementary school with the highest participation and the middle school team champion, t-shirt for all event winners.  

Hosts: The coaches and athletes of the Sachem North and Sachem East Cross Country and Track & Field Programs.
