North Alum Shawn Murphy Picks Up Consecutive Rookie of the Week Honors
NYIT freshman has been dominant on the lacrosse field.
Sachem North alum and lacrosse star Shawn Murphy was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week in back-to-back weeks.
The NYIT freshman tallied six points–three goals and three assists–in a 15-8 Bears victory two weeks ago. Last week, Murphy scored his fifth hat trick of the season against Roberts Wesleyan.
Murray scored 41 goals in leading Sachem North lacrosse last year.
