Stay Informed During Nor'Easter 2011

Live blog, radio, Twitter, UStream and post-game coverage.

With the 3 p.m. start time scheduled on Friday for Nor'Easter 2011 between Sachem East and Sachem North, Sachem Patch has come up with multiple ways for those folks who can't make the game to stay informed and updated.

Here's how you can find out updated info as it happens:

  • LIVE Blog: Sachem Patch will host a LIVE blog starting at 2:45 p.m. It will offer play-by-play and commentary from one of our freelance contributors who will be in the box.
  • Twitter updates: Throughout the game we'll be tweeting live from @SachemPatch. If you don't follow us already, please do. Don't forget to tag #noreaster2011 with every post to stay consistent if you want to get in on the chatter.
  • Radio Coverage: The school radio station will be broadcasting the game live on 91.9-FM The Arrow. They will start their broadcast at 2:30 p.m. and go straight through. Sachem Patch editor Chris Vaccaro will appear on the station around 2:40 p.m. to offer some analysis about the game and the Suffolk County Division I playoffs.
  • Sachem Patch U Stream: For the first time, we'll be experimenting with live footage on our U Stream page. We're still not 100 percent sure this will be effective, but in the essence of our readers and the time of the game, we want to explore all options to provide the ultimate viewing experience. We will put a link to the U Stream feed and live blog on top of the home page.
  • MSG Varsity replay: The folks from MSG Varsity will be broadcasting the game, but not live. It will air later Friday night at 10 p.m. So after you read Sachem Patch all day, you can check out the highlights later on.
