Michael Pistone earns All American Honors at NHSCA Freshman Nationals
Off-season wrestling tournament brings huge honor to East grappler.
Six Sachem East wrestlers competed at the National High School Coaches Association National Wrestling Championships held this past week in Virginia Beach.
The tournament consists of a separate national championship for each grade level and draws the best wrestlers from all over America.
Michael Pistone came home as an All-American, finishing eighth in the 140-pound freshman division.

Other Sachem East wrestlers competing were:
- Mike Rothbaum 3-2 at 125 junior division
- Jackson Mordente 2-2 at 135 sophomore division
- Anthony Pistone 1-2 at 145 junior division
- Zach Nobre 1-2 at 152 sophomore division
- Anthony Messina 0-2 125 freshman division
