Sachem head coach Tom Krammer was pleased Bassett's play not only in Monday's game, but also in his last few outtings, calling his play "stunning."

Sachem went up two goals after Alex Plume's one-timer from Alex Posillico beat the Kings Park goaltender mid-way through the first period.

The game got physical early into the second period. After Tom Tirelli was cross-checked after a whistle, Curran stepped in to his defense. Curran bumped helmets accidentaly with a Kings Park player, and was given a five-minute major plus a game misconduct. He said it was "not intentional."

Krammer said he questioned the referee after the game, and didn't see anything, but said, "they had a better view than I did."

It took just seconds for Kings Park to capitalize on the powerplay, when Matt Goldberg scored to cut Sachem's lead to 2-1. Sachem killed off the remainder of the penalty.

The Arrows found themselves in more penalty trouble later in the period when Mike Douros lost his cool and was called for a four-minute major for roughing.

It looked as if Kings Park tied the game on a beautiful breakout, but the net came off when Bassett slide across the crease. The goal was waved off immediately.

Minutes later, Kings Park tied the game for real when Goldberg's wrist shot from the slot made it 2-2 with 3:52 remaining in the period.

Sachem regained the lead at 3-2 when Plume's shot was stopped, but Brian Brogan's rebound found the twine four minutes into the third period.

Kings Park answered minutes later when Goldberg tied the game and tallied a hat trick 6:15 in the final period. His wrist shot from the circle beat Bassett to tie the game 3-3.

Sachem once again was in penalty trouble. With 6:42 remaining, the Arrows took three penalties, including a bench minor for too many men on the ice. In total, the Arrows were down two men for about three and a half minutes. The penalty kill stepped up and kept the game tied.

"They did a great job killing [off those penalties]," said Krammer.

Krammer, who said he has been putting more pressure on Martinez to be more responsible defensively, was pleased that he scored the game-winner.

Sachem will get nine days off after Monday's game, and resume play next Wednesday against St. Anthony's.
