Maria Michta Featured in Wall Street Journal
Sachem alum and Olympic hopeful will walk in Olympic trials on July 1.
Maria Michta has been in the media spotlight for quite some time, but this weekend she made a big splash on the sports pages of the Wall Street Journal.
The Sachem alum from the Class of 2004 and Olympic hopefull this summer in London, was profiled specfically about her quest to represent the United States in the racewalk event, while maintaing a steady courseload as a Ph.D. candidate at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Michta will run on July 1 in the U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Ore., to qualify for London.
