Manno Doesn't See Field vs. Ravens

Chiefs lose, 31-13, on the road at M&T Bank Stadium.

BALTIMORE - Each quarter came and went and even with the Chiefs trailing in the waning moments of the contest, Chris Manno didn't see time in their, 31-13, pre-season loss to Baltimore at M&T Bank Stadium on Friday.

Prior to the first snap, Manno wasn't sure how much time he would see in the game. Afterwards he remained optimistic.

"I'm sure [the coaches] have a good reason," said Manno, who saw action on a handful of plays in his debut last week against Tampa Bay, looking strong and fast.

Eleven players on the Chiefs caught passes in the loss, three being running backs. Rookie receiver Jonathan Baldwin did not play and is expected to miss the rest of pre-season due to an injury sustained in a locker room scuffle with former New York Jets running back Thomas Jones.

Manno was listed as the sixth receiver on the Kansas City depth chart in the game program. He lined up for one play as a receiver against Tampa Bay, which ended up being a run.

Week 3 and 4 have notoriously been extremely important for free agent signees and rookies trying to make a difference in their chance of making the 53-man roster or practice squad. It's a final audition for their organization and other teams looking.

As Manno has said since he signed, he'll be ready to go when his number is called.

The Chiefs host the Rams next Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. on local Kansas City television.
