Longwood Keeps Early Lead Over East At Homecoming

Sachem East varsity football fell 13-0 to Longwood Saturday at its Homecoming game.

Longwood took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, which they held until adding another touchdown to their scoreboard at the top of the fourth quarter.

Sachem East coach Mark Wojciechowski told Patch after the game that the team will have to try a new strategy for their next game, which will be away at Ward Melville Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.

"We've worked offensively to put a few wrinkles in and tried to make those work tonight and they didn't so we're back to the drawing board," Wojciechowski told Patch.

The team's next home game is against William Floyd on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. The game will be a Senior Night honoring the team members who will be graduating at the end of the school year.
