was called up to the New Jersey Devils this weekend in wake of Martin Brodeur's recent shoulder injury.

The Sachem East alum is the back up goalie to Johan Hedburg until Brodeur returns, which could happen within the week.

"I'm not ready to play so there's no sense for me to go on the bench," Brodeur told the Star Ledger Friday. "I wanted to make sure I was getting decent treatment.
