Jumbo Elliott Makes All-Time Super Bowl Era Jets/Giants Team
NY Post writer Steve Serby picks Sachem alum for unique team.
With the Jets and Giants facing off on Christmas Eve, Steve Serby from the New York Post put together his list of the all-time Super Bowl Era Jets/Giants team.
Sachem alum and former NFL veteran made the list. Elliott, who graduated from Sachem in 1983, had the fortune of playing for both New York teams. He helped the G-Men win a Super Bowl title in 1991 and also caught "The Catch" in the Monday Night Miracle for the Jets against the Dolphins in 2000.
Fans can vote on every position for their all-time team as well. Click here to vote. So far 44 percent of the fans pick Elliott as the best overall tackle in the Super Bowl era for both teams.

Serby picked Elliott and also wrote that the big man should have consideration into the Giants Ring of Honor, which started in October 2010 and honors past players who have made major contributions to the organization.
Elliott is a Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee and has his No. 75 jersey retired at Sachem High School.
