Islip Cup Brings Back 1864 Style Baseball
Historic baseball tournament sheds light on older generation of athletics.
The Town of Islip will host its annual Islip Cup, an old fashioned baseball tournament, Saturday, August 6.
Admission and parking will be free. The event will take place at the Islip Grange on 10 Broadway Ave. in Sayville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“The Town is glad to host events that celebrate the roots of our culture,” Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan said in a statement. “The Islip Cup will only add to our appreciation of America’s pastime.”

The tournament will feature clubs like the Brooklyn Atlantics, NY Gothams, and the Flemington Neshanocks.
If that's not your thing, there will also be live music, among other attractions.

The Town of Islip suggests that spectators bring chairs and a picnic lunch.
